Oops: Americans Elect can’t find ‘credible’ centrist candidate for third-party ticket

This is the way American Elect’s third party dreams end: not with a bang, but a centrist whimper. The “radical centrist” group hosted the nation’s first online presidential primary, but couldn’t generate enough interest to nominate a candidate.

Americans Elect makes it official: their online "primary process" is over… and nobody won. (Or is it: Everybody lost? One of those.)

Per AE: "no candidate has reached the national support threshold required to enter the “Americans Elect Online Convention” this June."

Americans Elect wants you to know that total lack of interest in AE doesn't reflect lack of interest in AE

Kind of sad-clown funny that Americans Elect can't choose a candidate.

Awww. It’s lonely in the middle. Time to break out the clove cigarettes and black lipstick. They might not have a third party, but they can throw one hell of an emo party.

Americans Elect will have more information about “next steps for the immediate future” on Thursday.

The mighty center … RT @ZekeJMiller: Americans Elect can't find a candidate. Will announce "next steps" on Thursday.

Looks like noted centrists Warren Buffett, Hillary Clinton, and Rahm Emanuel don’t have a shot after all. Who’d a thunk it?
