Superman isn’t invincible: Reaction to Dwight Howard’s season ending surgery

Early Thursday morning, it was reported that Dwight Howard was refusing to play another second for Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy.

While we stand by that report and fully believe Howard did tell ownership he refuses to play, it doesn’t matter anymore. The superstar center has announced he’s undergoing season ending back surgery to repair a herniated disk which will end his season and keep him out of the Olympics.

Twitter reacts to the news:

Dwight Howard out for the season..Magic playoffs just walked out the front door. Back injury? (herniated disk) His career may be doomed.

Six months ago, I thought Dwight Howard was the most marketable player in the NBA. Now he's not in my top 3.

Dwight Howard will miss the rest of the season due to a back injury. I guess carrying his teammates on it for years finally made it collapse

So is Dwight Howard actually injured or does he hate SVG that much that he'll get unnecessary back surgery just to avoid playing for him?
